Pot belly would be hotter for sure, that might cure the different paints that need it as well, what I ment was the paint seems to get pliable when the bikes good and hot, the first one I used was a rustoleum product, good for insane temps, looked awesome to begin with, after a couple of weeks on a ride I noticed black shit on my jeans, wasn't cheap paint either. I've tried stuff from Bunnings, SCA and dedicated paint shops, maybe I'm not doing it right?

Bottom one is my cam specs, .590 lift.
    T-Man 590PS2

Apart from intake close they are similar to the others listed.
Battery died today, went to do CCP test, just on two years old, load tested it 3 months ago and it was fine, goes 5-6 volts on cranking now. Might try an SSB, a local battery shop sells them.

Did the comp test today, used my Maverick battery to give it the juice, 198psi front and rear, did it a few times, front went to 198.5 once, with a 43° intake close that makes it a 10.43:1 static and 9.48:1 corrected. According to T-Man that's a good ratio for this cam but this cam may not be ideal for this engine.
I'm happy with my exhaust though, that line though a little rough is pretty straight.

Charged the 2 year old Harley right up and load tested it again by starting the the bike, first start dropped to 8 volts, second start 7 volts, 3rd 6, put the fully charged SSB in, 3 starts and it didn't even get down to 10 even, bike charge looks good, see how long it lasts I guess.

Took the bike to the powder coater for a quote on the exhaust, $176 he reckons, I think that's pretty good value for money, 600°C rated satin finish, will get it done ASAP and post a pic after, be nice to have that bit finished and done with.

Got the muffler and heat shields back from the powder coater today, come up pretty good I reckon, was worth the effort to get the extra lean angle, well to me anyway.
Couple of pics, as it is now and as it was.

    That exhaust looks smick, mate.
$176 is pretty good. You'd recommend him?

Funny how a few degrees of the pipe angle changes the look.
    Nice looking bike

    Looks great.
Pardon my ignorance, but is that ceramic powder coat over the chrome? Any prep needed?

Cheers mate, it was a black system to start with but they sandblasted it back to bare metal before coating it, imagine they would do the same with chrome.

Put one of onequickphuck's (Mike) healtech quickshifters on the slim, easy as to fit, set up is pretty straight forward via Bluetooth from an app on your phone but a chat with Mike will help get you there quicker, it's a well made, well thought out system that does exactly as advertised, I like it.
1st pic is of the sensor fitted to the shift rod, 2nd is of the opened app that you use to set your parameters.

Hey Hilly, she looks good. The last photo, on the grass is a pearler.
The quick shifter is getting a good reputation on here, I like the sound of clutchless shifts. How do you find it?
Is expense justified in your view? (umb question, but financially fucked)
    Thanks Hilly.

Baloff my old friend, thanks for the kind words, I do truly love this bike, I thought the three before it were special but this one tops them.
Is the shifter worth the expense? That's a hard one to answer for another man, for me yes, for you? I don't know brother, I'm pretty sure you would dig it but is that experience worth it for you, only you can say.
