Thanks fella's, My bike is a 2012 Wide Glide. I wanted a new bike but I liked the look of the older Wide Glides with the 12" apes and duck tail rear fender so I went to work finding out how I could do this. I don't know if I have succeeded but I love the outcome.

    Seat - standard
Bars - 12" fat mini ape handlebar "KIT" with risers P/N 56832-04A (did not use risers because they are about 4" high) and the bars out of the kit are slightly lower than standard 12"bars
Risers - RSD (Roland Sands Designs) 1 1/2 high with 4 clamping screws per riser instead of 2 like normal risers.
    Rims - Ridewright fat 50s (rear 17") (front 21")
    Rear tyre - 200mm
Dash panel - standard but changed black to chrome
Rear fender - 2012 Fat Bob
Fender strut covers - 2012 Fat Bob
Rear wiring harness - 2012 Fat Bob
Tail light - tri bar LED light to fit Fat Bob rear fender
    Pipes - big radius
air cleaner - Screaming Eagle heavy breather

These are the major changes that I have done and the rest is just bling bits and most of the parts above are out of the 2012 catalogue.

Sweet ride Denoz, was the change over of the Fender a bitch to do or pretty straight forward and how long did it take?

    Cheers,

    Braddock

Hi denoz, I'm in the process of changing my wheels, rear will be 18 with a 200 tyre did u have any problems fitting it under your fender ? I have the same set up but 2010. Got the front on just waiting for the rear tyre to arrive.

Braddock - mate it was pretty straight forward just make sure you have all parts needed to do the job like strut backing plates, tail light mount, etc. everything has to be changed from the seat back except the blinkers but I did bring my blinkers closer to the fender by replacing the spacer with a sorter ones like the Fat Bob. One of the hardest things was removing the rear shock bolts to remove the strut covers.(Just used jack to take weight of bike and do one side at a time) and you "may" have to change the wiring plugs on the blinker wires so they fit into the new socket's behind the tail light. This would be the hardest part of the whole change over the rest just bolts on. Just go to your local deal and get them to have a look on their system at the Fat Bob and the Wide Glide parts guide and compare the differences and order all parts needed. You'll probably have a f@#king hart attack when they tell you how many $$$ it's going to cost especially if they give you a quote for labour as well. I did the change over in probably half a day taking my time so not to scratch any paint etc.

hamerz84 - As soon as you get your rear wheel sell the f@#king thing!!! No only joking mate, I have seen a couple of Wide glides with 18" with a 200 tyre do not know if they had problems so I can't really say. But on mine I have a 17" and did have problems (offset problem) the rear wheel was way over to the left to where it was rubbing on the inside of the fender. Don't know if it was frame or rim maybe bit of both because ever since new the bike had a slight offset in the rear I was told this is normal in Dyna models then I was told it wasn't normal depending on who I was talking to and then I changed my rim and went wider in the rear tyre and the offset was even worse. I ended up machining down my brake calliper mount to move my wheel over 8mm so it ran in the centre and also had to put a spacer behind the drive pulley. I am not saying your going to have problems because I have heard of people having no problems. I think it depends on the bike, rims and how hard you cross your fingers. Good luck

Is that a shift light up there on the bars and what's going on with that Primary cover ... have you got your self a bit of a goer hiding inside that motor , Lol .

Thanks Sparra. I bouight the exhaust mainly for it's simple lines, better ground clearance and you don't see any here in OZ, performance was not an issue but after saying that it does definitely perform very well with the pipes. The exhaust performs well, I also bought their AMS (Anger Management System) which is actually a Gen 3 Dobeck unit. The exhaust was US$784 plus about US$190 postage. The AMS was US$140 (discounted from US$260 if bought with the pipes. Ronnie Hacker is pretty helpful with any tuning info. You can get a variety of muffler lengths and diameters, chrome or black ceramic, pay extra for "quiet option" (I've got that, loud enough but not too loud) etc.  The value of the Aussie dollar pushes up the price and you have to keep the total under AU$1000 (not icl postge cost) or you will be paying customs.  If the purchase price is AU$1000 and over you will pay customs for the total purchase price PLUS the postage cost!!! Cheers...................
